Let's fix the things that make your job a drag

For over a decade, we've been on a mission to make work more meaningful — one team, one process, one breakthrough at a time.

A Decade of making work better

Every step of our journey has been guided by one simple idea: It doesn't have to be perfect to make it better.

2011

Where It All Began

Change Agents truly began when Brian created Peak Academy for the City and County of Denver, Colorado in 2011. Under Michael Hancock, Brian trained 5,000 government staff in the fundamentals of lean manufacturing leading to more than 2,000 employee-driven innovations, saving Denver an estimated $15 million. Peak Academy set the stage for how Change Agents Training operates around the world today.

2016

Peak Performance Published

Brian Elms co-authored and published Peak Performance, a book that chronicles how Denver’s Peak Academy—launched under Mayor Michael Hancock in 2011—empowered frontline government employees to lead over 2,000 process improvements and save the City of Denver an estimated $15 million between 2011 and 2016. The book offers a candid, behind-the-scenes look at how a small, in-house innovation program transformed low morale and tight budgets into measurable, employee-driven results that governments across the country have since sought to replicate.

2017

Leaving Peak Academy

In 2017, Brian Elms left the City and County of Denver to help other cities and counties replicate the Peak Academy model, creating the foundation for what became Change Agents Training.
